Living
in Cyprus
At
the current situation, students are not allowed to work 20
hours a week unlike in Europe, States and other countries. But in
summer, from June to September, students of hotel/hospitality
field get the full-time work permits. They can find work in
the restaurants, star and other small hotels and hotel apartments,
which are mostly packed and busy during this season by the
European and other tourists.
Students
get a basic salary of $650 (approx.) per month in the first
year of their work and it is increased every year. Beside
the basic salary, the tips depend on various conditions. So,
the students can earn about $750 - $1500 per month depending
on work, experience, hotel/restaurant and other factors. So,
students have to maintain their study and living expenses
with this amount.
The
accommodation and food expense is comparatively lower than
other European countries.
